Laziness has taken over

After an hour of commuting and eight hours of work, I like to go home and relax. That includes me sitting in front of my computer and watching whatever I haven't already watched on Hulu. It actually takes quite of bit of motivation and pressure from myself to even write this entry. Not only that I have started being hungry all the time. There must be some science behind that situation like, heat makes a person hungry and lazy. Looking at my following layout makes me super hungry.

Thinking about those late nights in undergrad, makes me miss being in school. This event was an evening out with a few friends for drinks. Afterwards we went to grab ourselves the ever so popular Fat Sandwiches of New Brunswick. The pictures makes me laugh and lets me reminisce the good old days.

su·per·cal·i·frag·i·lis·tic·ex·pi·al·i·do·cious

I had another goal on my list of writing 300 posts by my next birthday. I think I am not putting enough time in reaching that goal. So here is another post on a layout I made months ago. Ever since my God- father took me to see The Lion King, I had been addicted to Broadway Shows. Martin treated me to see Mary Poppins last Christmas. I haven't seen any new Broadways out lately that I am dying to go see. The Amsterdam Theater was really pretty. As one can tell, I snuck a picture with my camera inside even though pictures are not allowed. I have not seen the movie either; so before going to the show, Martin and I watched the movie. I wonder what my next one will be?

Of the Few Accomplishments

Four massive size garbages of garbage, three garbage bags of clothes to donate, 106 new hangers, 12 new decorative boxes, 5 new cubical storage bins, a new desser, and two whole months later, my room is officially clean and organized. One can see all of the floor that is not required to be covered by furniture. I can walk across my room without having to jump over piles of clothes and boxes. And when I wake up in the morning and roll out of bed, I can immediately place my feet on the floor and not have to leap over anything. I am extremely proud of myself because another goal on my list has been accomplished. Cleaning my room seemed like a stretch when I first started the attempt. On the weekend, I even vacuum and dust religiously to keep it as neat and clean as possible.

When I graduated from undergrad, the Dean Farris had invited me and my entire family to the Dean's Dinner. I felt honored to be included in this small selective group that was invited. My Mom, Sherman and my God-father were supportive of my achievements. I have learn to take things in strides; it those small milestones are what get me through the day.

Surprises in the Mail

This week has been full of surprises in the mail. Today, my custom order of a rubber stamp came in. I thought it wouldn't come in until next week. But I am super excited to start using them on my finished projects. Mostly, it is used for the cards I intend to make. However, I did purchase a larger size for possibly using the scrapbook layouts.

My Addiction

I have to admit that I have an addiction. An addiction to buying paper! I should not have, but I did. I stopped at AC Moore prior to picking my Mom from work and disaster strikes. I found the new sale table AC Moore had set up in the back. And you guessed it, there was paper. I had told myself, no more purchases of supplies until I run out of the supplies I have at home. However, I have been searching for good cardstock for the longest time. For some reason, I convinced myself that it was a good buy and that I needed it for making my cards. The prices were some what reasonable. The best of my purchase was my rummaging through and found loose pretty pattern paper that had no packaging. Easily enough, I brought it to the registrar and they gave it to me for a dollar. This was definitely a good deal. Good deal or not, I am sad to say my goal of a finished organized room has not been met. There has been great progress, but not complete yet. I think I need a new deadline.
